    Scope of work
    Grosvenor Road comprises ground-2^nd floors and includes retention of a hall and teaching wing.
    
    The preferred structure type is a concrete flat slab structure with internal columns on a generic grid layout to optimise future flexibility.
    The concrete frame was preferred as it offered programme advantages and better thermal mass performance, along with the ability to lose the columns in the cladding thickness.

    Structural modifications in the retained Grosvenor Road building include the provision of steel beams within wall lines where new openings are being formed, transferring load back to existing foundations.
